My old setup is Rpi ->ifi USB3.0 -> PS Audio Directstream Junior. Rpi recognises PS Audio USB2.0 without any problem.
My new setup is tinkerboard -> ifi iUSB3.0 -> PS Audio Directstream Junior. After rebooting, there is no USB choice in the “Audio Output” selection. But I could find the PS Audio USB2.0 in the “Audio Output” selection if I connect the PS DJ to tinkerboard directly and it plays normally.
While tinkerboard is running, i re-connect to the old setup i.e. tinkerboard -> ifi iUSB3.0 -> PS Audio Directstream Junior. It will play normally.
hi there,
Am in a similar situation. I was using RP3 previously - no problem with Rp3-> iUBS3 -> Dac
Volumio sees the DAC without any difficulty
When switch to Tinkerboard - the earlier version of the firmware was still ok.
The latest version of volumio if via iUSB3 - volumio cannot see the DAC.
What I do as a workaround is to connect TB to DAC directly first then restart - this way Volumio can detect the DAC properly.
At this point - I connect my iUSB3 back to the system - and things begin to work.
Not only it is affecting iFi iUSB3 - I got friends using iFi iPurifier2 who are having the same problem.
