No IP Address

Am using Volumio on Allo USBridge. Seems to work fine for a few months and then disconnected for 3 weeks due to biz trip. Came back and reconnect but unable to connect and when i type ifconfig, no ip address. Just “UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST”…No idea what this means.

The usbridge is connected to a Cisco switch. Two other connections to the same switch worked but not the usbridge. When I connect the usbridge to a router, I was able to connect. No idea why no ip address when connected to switch when the other two connections (to the same switch) are able to connect.

Any assistance is much appreciated as this is getting rather frustrating. Thanks in advance.

Faulty switch? Try plugging your device into one of the working connections.

i have tried connecting to the working connections but to no avail. Its not that the USBridge or Switch are faulty cos they work independently of each other. Just cant get them to work together. Not sure if others are having the same issue. Thanks.
