New to Volumio.... Need an help

I just setup my Rpi3b with volumio and i have an USB HD with a lot of music inside.
My question is: if i connect the USB drive to one of the Rpi USB ports, will the drive be recognized by Volumio?
And if not, how to access to the HD from Volumio?
Sorry if the question is already commented here, but i am really new to the Volumio world…

Hello, yes Volumio can scan the audio files on an attached USB drive. If it doesn’t happen automatically, go to Sources and click rescan.

May i ask you another question?
I have my raspberry pi3b with hifiberry DAC2 Pro. May i connect also the official 7’’ inches touchscreen?
Or the DAC exclude the screen?

Yes you can use the DAC and the screen.

I know both are connected to the 40 pins GPIO, or not? If yes how to connect both?

hifiberry is on the 40 pin i guess, screen is on dsi flat cable
and 2x Jumperwires for power those would be on the 40pin connector

The official display uses a flatcable and 2 wires GND - 5V:
The hifiberry DAC2 Pro, has the 40 pins on board so you can connect the GND -5V to it.
