Is it possible to have the “music” drive (a USB SSD) connected to the a Raspberry Pi 5 with Volumio also be a network drive?
If I use Raspberry Pi OS to configure the network drive and then switch back to Volumio OS will the drive still be recognized as a network drive?
This is for a player grand piano with the Raspberry Pi attached beneath. Everything is flat black. While I printed a pop-in/out clip for the SSD and mounted it in as convenient a place as possible It would be much nicer if I could directly access it as a network drive.
I’ve searched to find and verify that I can access the drive via File Explorer using \volumio\usb but the method and required authentication are not reasonably (if at all) compatible with my custom programming. I can make do with access only via File Explorer but if an actual network drive is possible in this situation I would prefer that manner.
