Checked syntax and path name - all correct. Sonos can access the NAS and play music. MAC can rip a cd and send it to the NAS. So I am pretty sure that side of it is working.
Tried omitting and adding / . No joy.
Any ideas?
After mount fail, the path is listed as \192.XXXXXX/Public\My Music Folder
I am a bit concerned about the / before Public. I didn’t put the / in, and it doesn’t look right?
NFS permission is set and the box itself is a Western Digital.
I just don’t remember having this problem last time I set it up.
One other thing - when I choose add a new drive, a scan is made and it just finds my BT Hub. Is this correct?
Error in adding network drive
exec error Error: Command
failed:usr/bin//sdo/bin/mount-t nfs-o
ro, soft,nauto
‘192.X.XXX.X.XX://mynas/Public/my music’
‘/mnt/NAS/mynas’
Mount.nfs:access denied by server while mounting
192.XXX.X.XX://mynas/Public/my music
I was deleting the drive each time and trying again. On one attempt, I didn’t delete the drive that failed to mount. I added another. Same path, but this time the ?/\ did not appear in the text after the mount failed. Just a single / after the IP address. Then I changed from NFS back to Cif, and the drive mounted.
Deleted the first drive and re-named the second alias. All working well.
