No go. I just added a hundred or so albums to include a full re-write of Volumio and the SSD with the library.
Of course the simple comma does not work but its test folder isn’t in this shot.
Do you use Volumio hardware?
I have Volumio on a Raspberry Pi 4B.
I can describe how I prepare FLAC for Volumio, and two backslashes without spaces work fine.
- In Windows, on Mp3tag, I replace the semicolons in the genres (which work great in the MusicBee player) with two backslashes without spaces using an action. The photo is attached.
- Using the second action (also attached), I clean the titles of junk like exclamation points, question marks, colons, quotation marks, strange foreign letters, and special characters to simplify the text as much as possible.
- I upload the music to a formatted SSD.
- In Volumio, I don’t update, I just rescan.
As proof, here’s a picture of Mp3tag with backslashes and Volumio with the genres neatly separated.
