No go. I just added a hundred or so albums to include a full re-write of Volumio and the SSD with the library.

Of course the simple comma does not work but its test folder isn’t in this shot.

Do you use Volumio hardware?

I have Volumio on a Raspberry Pi 4B.
I can describe how I prepare FLAC for Volumio, and two backslashes without spaces work fine.

  1. In Windows, on Mp3tag, I replace the semicolons in the genres (which work great in the MusicBee player) with two backslashes without spaces using an action. The photo is attached.
  2. Using the second action (also attached), I clean the titles of junk like exclamation points, question marks, colons, quotation marks, strange foreign letters, and special characters to simplify the text as much as possible.
  3. I upload the music to a formatted SSD.
  4. In Volumio, I don’t update, I just rescan.
As proof, here’s a picture of Mp3tag with backslashes and Volumio with the genres neatly separated.
