I don’t use Volumio yet but it’s considered my prime alternative to replace Sonos (who for me develops in the wrong direction) but I don’t fully understand the Airplay2 discussions I’ve read so far.
Regular Airplay is listed as compatible to Volumio but does that mean that Airplay2 speakers are also supported? There will be a lot of nice Airplay2-speakers in the future I believe and it also seems like a great protocol, unlike Airplay which never really worked in my system.
I might also ask what kind of protocol is used for all those Volumio compatible wireless DACS in the shop? How does it compare to Airplay2? I’m looking for a setup to a household with both dedicated speakers and some DACS (where there’s already a amplifier + speaker) so I’m hoping I sucessfully can mix Airplay2 and Volumio units.
Hope my newbie question makes sense.
