I have version 3 and everything works fine until today. I use a RPI 4 with a HD attached for my personal music files and it plays through Volumio just fine. I have Qubus subscription as well. Today when I tried to play some of my Qubus playlists I got a “failure to decode” message. I would cut and paste the full message here but it disappears too fast. I updated to the lasted 3.3 version thinking that would help. Nope. I tried a few tracks from my playlist a found one would work OK and then I put others in the queue and they would not. Some tracks would work once but not a second time.
Everything that is on my HD works fine so it is not my DAC to anything else is the system. It is all in Volumio. I tried some of the radio stations on volumio that had worked before but nothing works. I have the premium edition.
