Hi: a first time post… be gentle. I searched but did not find a relevant topic, so.
I have been usinng RPis for a couple of years and have the Allo Boss DAC working without any problems. However, I recently bought the ES9028Q2M from Audiophonics and installed Volumio 2.348 with the Sabre plugin from here. It installs without error but it doesn’t work.
I get thee following in dmesg:
[ 8.525470] i_sabre_codec: disagrees about version of symbol module_layout
[ 8.526622] i_sabre_k2m: disagrees about version of symbol module_layout
I get no sound from the RCA output with either the RPI DAC or the Hifiberry DAC loaded even though they indicate that they are working by using aplay or the Volumio interface to play output.
I should also mention that the BLUE LED in the DAC turns on and then turns off with a period of 8 seconds. Could someone with experience using this DAC confirm is this is normal fruntioning of the power on LED??
