is it possible that volumio isn’t up to differ between the picture types embedded in tags?
I see a complete mixture of front covers aswell as album artists when browsing a scanned network share.
Looks like most audio programs did perform way back in 1990 when all though that there’s 1 pic possible per embedded metadata.
Same or similar poor results if not using the embedded pics since what’s grabbed from the net is as senseless as anything else.
(EDIT) might also be that volumio simply grabs a random pic from the ones located in the same directory as the audio files in case it’s a folder of a complete album.
I do miss the option to not touch any external pricture files at all in case of embedded pics being present.
This is a major disappointment, though I will likely use the pi being the headless playback device not the control point. But it’s pretty irritating to see that present metadata is ignored and/or mixed up.
positiv thing if not using a network share but MinimServer it works due to the fact that MinimServer is able to read from the metadata what it should read instead of simply grabbing the next item it finds no matter if wrong or right.
