DSD 256 streaming problem

Hi, i’m using version 3.512 volumio on a rpi 4 with screen, USB DAC iFi Zen Dac V2. Updated to latest version.
DAC displays white, wich is NOT DSD256 (it must be red)

DSD256
putty:
Using username “volumio”.
volumio@volumiobureau:~$ cat /proc/asound/card5/stream0
iFi (by AMR) iFi (by AMR) HD USB Audio at usb-0000:01:00.0-1.2, high speed : USB Audio

Playback:
Status: Running
Interface = 1
Altset = 1
Packet Size = 288
Momentary freq = 192000 Hz (0x18.0000)
Feedback Format = 16.16
Interface 1
Altset 1
Format: S32_LE
Channels: 2
Endpoint: 1 OUT (ASYNC)
Rates: 44100, 48000, 88200, 96000, 176400, 192000, 352800, 384000
Data packet interval: 125 us
Bits: 32
Channel map: FL FR

DSD128 DAC displays blue OK stream is OK

DSD128
putty:
volumio@volumiobureau:~$ cat /proc/asound/card5/stream0
iFi (by AMR) iFi (by AMR) HD USB Audio at usb-0000:01:00.0-1.2, high speed : USB Audio

Playback:
Status: Running
Interface = 1
Altset = 4
Packet Size = 272
Momentary freq = 176464 Hz (0x16.0ed9)
Feedback Format = 16.16
Interface 1
Altset 4
Format: SPECIAL DSD_U32_BE
Channels: 2
Endpoint: 1 OUT (ASYNC)
Rates: 44100, 48000, 88200, 96000, 176400, 192000, 352800, 384000
Data packet interval: 125 us
Bits: 32
DSD raw: DOP=0, bitrev=0
Channel map: FL FR
volumio@volumiobureau:~$

See the difference: DSD128 is altset 4 wich is SPECIAL DSD_U32_BE
DSD256 is altset 1 wich is S32_LE (must be altset 4) at 192kHz but not DSD

In the previous volumio version i had no problem, the DAC turns red on DSD256.

Plz can you guys check this out?

if you have multiroom enabled, please try to disable it and reboot.

there is a known issue like the one you described for DSD playback, a fix has already being implemented and under testing, it will be included in the next stable release

Thx guys testversion 3.538 did the trick!

Grtz Ludo
