Hello. I have a 1tb microsd with Volumio. I wanted to copy 700GB of music to it, but I’ve only seen how to do it over the local Net. Can I copy the files directly by usb? On the net it is very slow
Thanks!

It’s not a really smart way to do it.
If volumio breaks and you have to start over you will lose it all.
Better way is use a external drive hooked on usb
But disconnect it if you run a update to prevent a wipe of the drive.
That is not a problem. I have two backup copies of my files.
Thanks for reply
You can only do it over a network as the mount is done by the image which is not accessible outside Volumio.
Hi - you could copy your files to a USB drive, then plug the drive into the PI, then use the address “\volumio” in “This PC” - I am assuming you are using a Windows PC ( the \ are important). Now you should be able to copy the files from the USB folder to the Internal Storage folder on the microSD card.
Hope this helps
Michael
Correction there should be double slashes: \Volumio
Sorry for the mistake
Try again! The system is not accepting double slashes in my replies for some reason - but you need to use them!
I use the following for this, it’s true that MacMini is iron: I plug USB into the Mini, I copy from a PC with totalkommander simply over the network. But the data does not come over the network, but from USB to internal storage. Quick and easy!
