I am running 3 Volumio with RPI’s each using identical NAS. Created many playlists on system 1 and plays great.
SSH and copied this playlist to the other 2 systems via WinScp and placed in \internal\data using volumio_data.tar file and even tried strictly copying directly all the playlist in \data.
Now all systems have the playlist…rebooted and used the backup/restore function to restore, then restarted. The two system receiving the playlist cannot play.
You seem to be mixing up manually copying the playlists, and using the backup/restore plugin, but it is difficult to tell exactly what you have done.
Either:
(1) copy playlists directly from your system 1 to ‘/data/playlist’ in systems 2 & 3;
or:
(2) backup system 1 with the plugin, copy the backup file to /mnt/INTERNAL (‘Internal Storage’ if you are using samba) in systems 2 & 3. Restore the backup on systems 2 & 3.
Thanks for chiming in, Chsims1. I actually did both but unable to play from these new playlists after rebooting. BUT…
I found after monkeying around (edit network drive) that the new systems NAS “alias” was named slightly different than the original system that those playlists were copied. When I corrected the alias to exactly what the original system has, it played!
Basically the alias on the other two systems had i.e. “NAS - 1” & NAS - 2" while the main system has “NAS”.
