I just installed Volumio 2.457 on a RasPi 3 B+. Controling it by it WebUI works fine. But it does not respond properly if I try to control it by BubbleUpnp intsalled on an Android device.
It shows up as an available renderer and can be selected. Ususally with all the other Upnp renderes in my network I can individually configure BubbleUpnp for each device. For Volumio this is not offered in BubbleUpnp.
Often it takes several seconds until Volumio responds to any control actions send by BubbleUpnp. Further on adding (just enque, not enque & play) tracks to the playlist in Bubble stopps the playback of the current track. While it is continued in BubbleUpnp.
Stopping the playback by Bubble stopps the current track but immediatly starts with a track from Volumios internal playlist.
Cover art is not shown for albums/tracks started with Bubble. For explanation: I’m using a 7’’ touch screen with Volumio and have the plugin installed and activated. So the UI is shown on the local touch screen.
A little late, but anyway thanks for directing me to BubbleUPNP Server. I always thought that it is just another media server…
I installed it on my Synology NAS and it solved the issues I had with my Huawei Media Pad M3 controlling the network bridge in my PS Audio PWD DAC via BubleUPnP!
I didn’t have the change to try it with Volumio yet but I’ll do that soon!
