Connect Wired Raspberry Pi Streamer

Have a raspberry pi streamer connected to my router by ethernet. Have loaded Volumio OS onto the micro SD card and inserted into the pi. When I start my Volumio app on my phone and try to configure device I choose wired or network and neither one can see my pi streamer… What am I missing??

Connect your phone to the wireless hotspot of Volumio, starting with “Volumio-xxxx”.
Configure the device and check it’s ip in the network configuration.

I did see Volumio hotspot 30199, I can connect to it, but it says it has no internet connection… The pi is connected via ethernet to my router which is working fine.

Also, what does checking the device’s IP address do for me? Big thanks for the assistance!

Hi,

Is your phone, connected to tthe router via wireless, and is either an IPhone, or an android phone with andoid 12 or better.

Android phones less than 5 years old should be running at least android 12.

If the answer is yes to these questions, try installing Bonjour Browser. Bonjour Browser will scan your local LAN for mDNS devices such as Volumio. If you see Volumio in the list of devices, clicking on it will connect you to Volumio.

If you do not see a Volumio device in the list then there is a problem with your Ethernet connection.

I think I figured it out with setting up the Volumio device. Still trying to get my Iancanada streamer to send a signal to my DAC.
