Hi guys,
Tried to get help from Allo support but i get really far off reply like teaching me how to first turn on the sparky. Geeez. Then avoids any of my direct questions. So hope to get help here.
Ive been using sparky+kali+piano 2.1 with linear ps with great results and when the isolator came out i got a hold of it.
Got ready the lip04 bats and off i went. Now heres is the configuration i first tried out
sparky+isolator+kali+piano 2.1. Bats on isolator and linear only on the Sbc. Well with this i couldnt get the isolator to turn on both kali and piano.2.1
Nothing.
So i moved to 2nd configuration
sparky+kali+isolator+piano 2.1. Bats on the isolator. Ok i get it to light up. But cant see volumio in my wifi so not working properly.
Can anyone pls help with the exact and proper comfiguration for this setup.
Heres a pic of my build.
I don’t know if this works with Sparky, but you could try the following: Connect Sparky-Isolator-Kali-Piano2.1:
Supply power to Sparky; Connect the ‘Feed SBC’ jumper on Kali and supply separate 5V to Kali.
No supply to Isolator because it will be fed via Kali.
You won’t be using the batteries because they will be over 6V.
There was a post on diyAudio from Allo which said it’s possible to power the Kali via the Isolator by removing a diode on Kali. You could then use the batteries to power the Isolator. Try Googling ‘isolator board for rpi diyaudio’.
Good luck.
You need to feed sparky with 5v and Kali with 5v others (kali feeds piano 2.1). Isolator will be powered by lifepo4 batteries (it is very important that it be with batteries or it will not be worth using isolator).
Check if you have removed the kali bridge that feeds the sbc (sparky).
It is very important what Allo said. First you must feed Isolator and then the rest.
This should work if you have not touched the Isolator pins to master mode.
Hi guys
I can’t change format from S32_LE to S16_LE. Maybe it is driver problem? I have 32 bit AK4495 DAC I2s.
cat /proc/asound/card*/pcmp/sub/hw_params
access: RW_INTERLEAVED
format: S32_LE/
subformat: STD
channels: 2
rate: 44100 (44100/1)
