Cannot mount a Windows Drive in Volumio 2.389 (RPI 3 B+)

Hi everyone. I have seen this topic more than once, but the solutions did not work. Apart that, I do not have no experience or Knowledge about Linux and command line work…

I have the newest Volumio, on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+

OK, here is my issue:
I need to access the music, which is stored on a Windows 10 PC, under
“D:\Musik Oeffentlich”
Yes it does have a blank…

The PC has IP 192.168.1.27 (his Name is “Media-PC”)

Access on the PC is granted via User and Password:
“Nome Cognome”
Yes it does have a blank…
Of course, this user has all the needed Rights.
I can access this Folder with an Android Phone with no issues btw.

So I tried to enter the above in the Volumio Network drive, but it results always in an orange warning which unfortunately does disappear swiftly, and I can only gather than the drive could not be mounted.

When I enter just the IP and the path, a window pops up and asks me for a username and password, so it seems the connection to the PC works…

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Thank you!!

Firstly, can you confirm that the folder is definitely shared under Windows?

Secondly, it is not always transparent how Windows is exactly sharing the folder. If you have ssh access to the Volumio device, then run the command "smbclient -L IPaddress_of_the _windowsPC. This should show what shares Volumio can see.

Well… I can access it from other Windows machines, though i have NOT enabled that Windows Homegroup (not sure how it is called in English). It requires a Password (I have activated “Password protected sharing”) to Access the Folders.

Wow…SSH

I hope I didn’t get lost, as it is new to me. Downloaded PuTTY, OK?

This is what I got after entering the command:

Domain=[WORKGROUP] OS=[Windows 6.1] Server=[Samba 4.2.14-Debian]

    Sharename Type Comment
    --------- ---- -------

NAS Disk Himbeeritino NAS Music Folder
IPC$ IPC IPC Service (Audiophile Music Player)

    Workgroup Master
    --------- -------

and … THANK YOU for your time

Holy…
I tried the Mail Adress of the Windows user, as it it also tied to the Account, and now it works…

Solved. Thanks and sorry for bothering.
