Hello everyone,
I am new here…I am happily using Volumio 2 since some months without any bigger problems…but now I cannot find the way to have back Airplay working with my macbook.
I have Volumio 2.502 on a RPB 3+ with HifIberry DAC+ and Kodi plugin correctly working.
But I cannot find the Volumio Airplay device in the list of the audio output under macos system settings…
If I reboot the Volumio there is a short interval of time where I can actually see it, but after a while it disappears without reasons and I cannot recover it.
If I connect ssh inside the RSP3+ and check the airplay service I obtain:
ps -ef | grep vahi
avahi 555 1 0 13:14 ? 00:00:04 avahi-daemon: running [volumio.local]
avahi 636 555 0 13:14 ? 00:00:00 avahi-daemon: chroot helper
volumio 27755 11886 0 17:25 pts/0 00:00:00 grep vahi
Any suggestions?
Filippo

I add what aplay -l shows:
aplay -l

If I understand well the card 1, Hifiberry, is not recognised as a valid device ? I cannot understand it…

I reinstalled Volumio from ground …and again, over wifi the Airplay disappears after some minutes of activity with this result:
sudo systemctl status shairport-sync
shairport-sync.service
Loaded: not-found (Reason: No such file or directory)
Active: inactive (dead)
This does not seem to happen with connection over ethernet cable.
By verifying Bonjour services with BonjourBrowser, Airplay indeed disappears…
It seems a Bonjour problem or a power-save setting that deactivate this service or put in standby the wifi…
others with similar problem: https://github.com/mikebrady/shairport-sync/issues/512
Could you give me some suggestions ? I am running out of ideas…
