Access Volumio Storage Over a Mac Network

Hi - using Volumio 3/Pi 4, with music accessed via a USB drive connected to the Pi.

I’d like to access Volumio using my Mac, so that I can add new files as I get them. I can see Volumio in Finder, and it lists 3 directories - Internal Storage, NAS, and USB. But I can’t see or access the contents of those folders. When I try to 'Connect As . . . ’ the Mac asks for a username and password - I’ve been through every combination I can think of, but no joy.

Any ideas please? Thanks, Rob

Many thanks - but that doesn’t work. I’ve tried that, and enableed SSH.

I’ve been trying the guidance at:

I hadn’t tried it earlier as my Music USB drive is FAT32 formatted.

I then set up another USB drive formatted and permissioned as per the Sep 20 post on that page, and plugged it into the Pi. That drive could be read, but not written to, on the Mac.

BUT . . . the Music USB drive can now be written to and read by the Mac, without any need for a password/user.

Go figure . . .
