96KHz FLACs are reported as 48KHz by the DAC

Hello to everyone.

With a Raspberry Pi 3 model B+ connected via USB to a Cambridge Audio DacMagic (first generation), 24bit/96KHz FLACs are reported as 48KHz by the DAC.

I double checked that Volumio has audio resampling turned off.

Do you know if there are any limitations with the USB interface of the Raspberry Pi?

Any idea is welcomed.
