Quick update: I reinstalled Volumio using an older version of the OS. Everything is now running normally again with the Spotify plugin. It is therefore definitely an interaction issue between plugin version 4.5.0 and the current OS.
Hey, Thanks for the options. I already considered those 2 options. Unfortunately Spotify Connect does neither work. As soon as the “new” account is used, the tracks are skipped when using the volumio device as connect player. I also looked into Soloist connect, but afaik this is only for headless devices. In my scenario i built a rasperry based touchscreen devices with volumio for my kids to just listen to spotify (with no other device like tablet or phone). I’ll try to submit a support ticket with spotify. Maybe they can change how the accout is set up, but im not too confident here…
