Selling my Volumio Primo

Hey JulioCSolar, thanks for the suggestion. I actually wound up just sending the curious cable back. I’m not sure if it was DAC compatibility or the Mano. I’m running an I2S cable right now, and actually I don’t have to keep switching back and forth between the two just running the one cable. The USB was mostly for the MQA. I just decided to run the I2S and that works as the most convenient without having to switch cables.

Hi Julio,
Didn’t hear from you…
Did you check about (the Primo) being compatible with 220V mains?
Thanks and Regards,
Yuval (Israel).

Speaking as an early adopter of digital room correction, acoustic room treatment is always better than digital room correction. No amount of digital correction can fix a cancellation null, for example.

Hi Yuval,

This is highly regarded as one of the best budget oriented power supplies. You just need to order the 5V output, it is suitable for both voltages: 115v -220 v. Also, It comes with several different prongs. I’m confident that it will work in Israel.
You can find it here: iPower by iFi audio | Low Noise DC Power Supply with International Travel Adapters

I totally agree, but I can’t do anything regarding the dimensions of my listening room: it is a small square; worst scenario for music. I’ll tell you what though, without the miniDSP would be miserable to listen to music in my media room.
Thanks

My unit is only 120v, but on my other comment, I suggest you a really good solution.
Regards,
Julio

Hi. I am interested if still for sale. What accessories do you have? Thanks, Mark.

Hi Mark,

I have all the important accessories: the unit, the power supply and the antenna. It came also with cheap RCA cables. And that’s all. The Volumio Primo works pretty good. It has no blemishes. No exposure to pets or tobacco.
Paypal or Zelle.

Thanks for the speedy reply.

I see in the setup instructions they talk about a “device code” or “coupon code” that was provided for use during setup. Do you still have those or was the device already to the “lifetime superstar plan”? Thanks, Mark.

I did find this in the community discussions… so perhaps you would be able to configure your Volumio account so I have access to the Superstar features.

Hey, loving Superstar. Question is about “sharing” my license with my son and father (Christmas present thoughts). Is there anything that prohibits me to configure Volumio with my account so they can connect to their own local libraries, Spotify, Tidal etc. ?? If not permitted, then I will get them a year of virtuoso each instead of course

Hi Mark,

To have superstar plan, you need to pay a monthly subscription. I had the middle one (virtuoso) that allowed me to use Tidal and Qobuz within the Volumio operating system. At the time, there was no coupon code or anything to that matter.
I know there is a way of having those without the subscription using a Logitec server but I never got into that. Darko explained what to do on his Youtube channel.
I hope this helps
Here you can find the link for the explanation. About the 11 minute or so, he explains what to do to get Tidal and Qobuz integration working without a Volumio subscription: Volumio's Primo is a two-headed streaming monster! - YouTube

The subscription is (us dollars) like $30.00 a year. Get Started | Volumio

Also, I did not mention that I have a plugin installed (paid for by me) to allow you to play CDs using an external USB CD player. It works really good.
Thank you for your interest,
Julio

Hi,

Lol you got rid of the Cambridge as well? What did you end up with? Naim? Lyngdorf?

 I have now an Ifi Zen streamer. I still have the Cambridge. I went with the Zen, because I wanted USB output. However, the Cambridge is a very good streamer.
